The Saddle Brook High School students are part of the school’s Community Partnership Club – a branch of a township-wide initiative aimed at linking vulnerable residents in need of assistance with volunteers and resources.
“The Community Partnership high school students volunteered to shovel snow at homes of senior citizens and those who need help after the snow storm,” said Saddle Brook Mayor Robert White.
The program was launched last December and is run by White, Coordinator Howard Weinberg and Pastor Christopher Wolf of the First Reformed Church.
The purpose of the partnership is “to identify, reach and lift up vulnerable township residents, specifically, isolated senior citizens, at risk youth and struggling young families,” White said.
To request assistance, ask questions or volunteer, visit the Partnership's website , within the township website, or call the dedicated hotline number, at 201-587-2912.
